Celebrate Betty White’s 100th Birthday and Help Pets!

Betty White - friend of animals everywhere. This sweet guide dog in training is being named for Betty White.

January 17th, 2022 would have been Betty White’s 100th Birthday.  She was such a champion of animals.  As one final celebration of her life, please take a few moments today to donate $5, or more, in her honor to your favorite animal rescue or shelter.

Not sure where to donate?

  • What about the Pet Pantry that is administered by the Humane Rescue Alliance?  Help people who are experiencing difficult times keep their pets.
  • City Dog and City Kitties volunteers work to foster kitties as well as adopt them which makes it less stressful on kitty to find a furever home.
  • Alley Cat Allies who s great work in TNR with community cats both here and throughout the country.
  • CATNIPP’s Blue Collar Cats Program  and community cats efforts work with  local outdoor kitties.
  • City WildLife is working to rehabilitate injured and orphaned wildlife in DC.
  • You may also have a favorite shelter, rescue, or program that is making a difference in an animal’s life.  Donate there and give them a shout-out in the comments section.

Let’s send her out in style!

P.S.  Please share your choice and what you did in her honor in the comments.
