Making a move is always stressful. First coming to a decision. Finding the perfect location for your pet(s) and you. Packing and the actual move. Then, unpacking.
As a Washington, DC pet sitter, I have found that many of my pet parents forget to make the most important change-of-address notice – contacting your pet’s chip monitor and updating the contact information.
This also needs to be done when you change phone numbers.
Moving is stressful for the furry members of the family. They are in strange surroundings and may find a way to slip out of the safety of their new home or even from a pet friendly hotel/motel while you are in transit.
Help increase the chances of your pet being returned by keeping your chip contact information current.
